Welcome to Revive Medical Spa
Smooth, Beautiful Results
As we age, our body’s stores of collagen and fat gradually deplete, and production of collagen slows. These effects leave skin flattened, dull, saggy, and wrinkled. Radiesse injections at our Fairbanks practice help patients lift the skin, address lines and wrinkles, and even add more volume and erase signs of aging on the back of the hands!
Radiesse is a thicker injectable product that offers nonsurgical implant effects, augmenting cheeks and chins along with treating aged hands and stimulating collagen production. Revive Medical Spa in Fairbanks is proud to offer Radiesse—the only filler on the market to stimulate collagen production—to deliver meaningful results for your aesthetic concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will I need a consultation before my Radiesse injection?
-
We always complete a thorough consultation prior to treatment. We will be sure to discuss what to expect, post-care instructions, and ensure we fully understand your aesthetic goals. We may also discuss other complementary treatments or developing a long-term aesthetic care plan! There is usually time to be treated after your consultation if you desire to proceed.
- Do men get Radiesse?
-
We routinely see male patients for Radiesse in Fairbanks to address their various aesthetic concerns. Injectables can be a very quick, effective, and noninvasive way to treat what’s bothering you! If you’re interested in learning more about what treatments may be best for you, feel free to use our Virtual Consultation Tool for instant, personalized feedback.
- Is there downtime with Radiesse?
-
After a Radiesse injection, you’ll be able to return to your normal activities immediately. However, you may experience some “social downtime” due to swelling or bruising. Your injector will provide you with post-care instructions to help minimize these side effects.
- What is Radiesse and how does it work?
-
The Radiesse filler is a gel formulated from tiny calcium particles. Using a very fine needle, our expert injectors can place the gel below the skin to add volume and lift the skin to produce radiant, youthful results. Then, over time, the calcium prompts your body to produce new collagen naturally in its place! Overall, Radiesse is uniquely capable of restoring volume temporarily, as well as implementing long-lasting volume augmentation by adding structure to the skin.
- What areas do you commonly treat with Radiesse?
-
We inject Radiesse filler in the lower face in areas including:
- Flattened Cheeks
- Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines), which go from the outer corners of your nose to the outer corners of your mouth
- Pre-Jowl Fold, found on either side of the chin
- Chin, wrinkles and lines
- Marionette Lines, seen from the corners of the mouth and down
- Corners of the Mouth, so they don’t turn down
- Back of Hands, plumps hand skin and reduces the appearance of bulging veins or tendons
Please note that Radiesse is not injected directly into the lips.
- How long does Radiesse last?
-
Radiesse can last longer than many other dermal fillers (up to 1 year). European studies found that the effects of a Radiesse injection can last up to 2 years! Usually, the amount of time Radiesse lasts will depend on the degree of muscle movement in the treated area.
- How soon will I see results after Radiesse injections?
-
You will notice the results immediately after being treated with Radiesse in Fairbanks.
- Does it hurt to get Radiesse injections?
-
Before a Radiesse injection, we usually apply a topical anesthetic. Therefore, most patients experience only a mild discomfort. Certain injection sites may be prone to bruising and swelling, though. We’ll be sure to walk you through everything to expect from a Radiesse injection during your initial consultation! We’ll also provide you with post-treatment instructions on how to specifically minimize this potential bruising and swelling.
- Who injects the Radiesse?
-
In order to deliver results you love—and results we’re proud of—we only allow our most highly educated, extensively trained and licensed medical staff to perform Radiesse injections.
- Is Radiesse approved by the FDA?
-
Yes. Radiesse is FDA-approved for the long-lasting correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, as well as facial fat loss, and overall volume loss in the back of the hands. It is widely considered to be safe and has been used in the aesthetic industry for years to address various skin concerns. In fact, it’s the only filler in the United States that’s FDA approved specifically for use in the backs of the hands! We are happy to answer any additional questions you have about the safety of your procedure to make sure you feel totally safe and comfortable in our care.
