Welcome to Revive Medical Spa
Fight Skin Damage
At Revive, our patients have trusted us to help revitalize their skin—and deliver beautiful results—for years. Often, incorporating IPL into your long-term care plan can help us target age spots, freckles, redness, small vessels, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, and more. Cynosure ICON treatments are one of the most versatile, popular treatments we have in our toolkit for keeping our clients looking youthful and refreshed.
When you book an IPL Photorejuvenation with Revive at our Fairbanks office, your appointment will be preceded by an in-depth consultation to determine your needs. This allows us to discuss your skin type, your specific concerns, and the treatment area you’d like to address. We like to say that the Cynosure ICON is gentle enough for most skin types and sensitivities, but powerful enough to treat deeper skin concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the Cynosure IPL work?
-
IPL deposits pulses of light energy that gently heats the upper layers of skin. Within the skin, the light energy is absorbed by targets, such as fine, broken vessels that cause redness and brown spots or pigmented lesions that are caused by an overproduction of melanin. IPL is a great option to help restore the skin to restore a more even complexion, making it more vibrant and youthful in appearance and touch.
- How many photofacials will I need?
-
The number of treatments needed to achieve the desired look varies from client to client. The extent of damage, the size of the area we’re treating, and the level of improvement desired will affect how many treatments may be recommended by our professionals.
- What can I expect during the treatment?
-
This is a gentle, non-invasive, and safe treatment. Most patients do not experience any discomfort and report feeling a warm sensation in the treated area.
- What happens after a Cynosure IPL photofacial?
-
Immediately following the treatment, you may experience some redness or irritation that should disappear after a few hours. There’s no downtime, however, and you’re free to resume your normal activities after treatment. Several days after your session, your skin will feel smoother, pores will be less visible, and age spots and sun damage will be faded.
- Can areas other than the face benefit from Cynosure IPL photofacials?
-
Yes! In addition to your face, we can also treat your neck, chest, arms, shoulders, legs and hands with Icon IPL.
