Typically, an ice pack is provided with instructions to avoid excessive heat and soaking. At this time, we’ll book any follow-up appointments needed to maintain your overall treatment plan and help you make the most of your results!

Pre-Care Instructions
Before your appointment for Tattoo Removal in Fairbanks, you should clean your skin and be sure it is clear of any bronzers or spray tans.
4 Weeks Before
Avoid both sun exposure and self-tanning products for a minimum of 4 weeks before each session.
1 to 2 Weeks Before
Avoid applying any irritants, such as exfoliations, masks, or peels, for 1 to 2 weeks beforehand. This includes products containing astringents, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, retinol, salicylic acids, and/or tretinoin.

Post-Care Instructions

If you develop a blister please do not pick or scratch or pop the blister. Take necessary precautions to keep it clean to avoid any chances of infection until the blister is resolved. Do not soak your tattoo. Avoid prolonged sun exposure.
2 to 4 Days After
You may lubricate the area with aquaphor or bacitracin. If necessary, you may cover with nonstick, lint free gauze or fabric to avoid irritating the area. This usually takes about 2 to 4 days. Keeping the area moist will help avoid scars or scabs from forming.
Cool Compress
Should the skin feel hot or irritated, you may cool the area with cold compressions, but these should not be applied directly against the skin.
Sunlight/Sunscreen
Avoid the sun until the area has completely healed, as exposure may lead to hyperpigmentation.

Depending on the size and color(s) of your unwanted tattoo, it will take multiple sessions to achieve maximum removal. We space each of these sessions 10 weeks apart to allow the body time to process and heal from the treatment. There are many factors to consider in the tattoo removal process, including ink type, age of the tattoo, the application, scarring, body chemistry/metabolism, etc. With every session you tattoo will lighten.

- Which wavelengths doe Quanta Q-Plus C work at?

Quanta Q-Plus C works at 3 wavelengths: 1064, 532 and 694. The 1064 wavelength targets black inks, which are generally the easiest to remove. The 694 wavelength, or Ruby wavelength, targets blues and greens. Traditionally, these colors can be pretty difficult to remove, but the Ruby wavelength makes it possible. The 532 wavelength is used to target orange/red colors that typically sit at the least depth in the skin. No matter what kind of tattoo you want to remove, Quanta gives us the ability to provide you with amazing results.
- Are there any side effects or downtime to laser tattoo removal?

After a tattoo removal session, you may experience some redness at the treatment area. This will go away after a few hours. Each treatment has the benefit of little downtime; however, we recommend that you avoid strenuous activity for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.
